Terms of service
Last updated September 29, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Keyvera Tech Ltd., a company in British Columbia, Canada ("Keyvera", "we", "us"), for your use of the Keyvera app and keyvera.ca. By creating an account or using Keyvera, you agree to them. If you sign up on behalf of a team or business, you agree for it too, and you confirm you have the authority to do that.
Who can use Keyvera
Keyvera is built for licensed real estate professionals in Canada and the people who work for them, such as assistants and team members. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. You are responsible for keeping your login safe and for everything done under your account. Each person needs their own login; please don't share one.
Free trial and billing
- New accounts start with a 7-day free trial. We ask for a payment card when you sign up.
- Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically and your card is charged $99 CAD per Realtor per month, plus any assistant seats at the price shown when you add them, plus applicable taxes.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. Keyvera never sees or stores your full card number.
- You can cancel at any time in Settings. Cancelling stops the next charge; you keep access until the end of the month you have paid for. We don't give refunds for partial months, except where the law requires it.
- If a payment fails, we will let you know and try again. If it still can't be collected, your account becomes locked: you can still sign in to update billing or export your data, but you can't add or change anything until the account is paid up.
- We may change our prices. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.
- Launch offers, such as free months for early members, apply as described when you accept them and can't be exchanged for cash.
Your data belongs to you
Everything you put into Keyvera, such as contacts, deals, listings, notes, tasks and documents, stays yours. You give us permission to store, copy and process it only as needed to run Keyvera for you, keep it secure, and provide support. We handle personal information as described in our privacy policy.
You can get a full copy of your data at any time, including for 60 days after your account closes, by using the export tool in Settings where available or by emailing sales@keyvera.ca. After those 60 days we may permanently delete your data, apart from records the law requires us to keep.
Your responsibilities
You collect and use your clients' and contacts' information, and Keyvera stores and processes it on your behalf. That means you are responsible for:
- Having the right to add the people and information you put into Keyvera, and using it in line with Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act).
- Having consent before sending commercial emails or texts through Keyvera, as Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) requires. Keyvera records consent and adds unsubscribe links, but the decision to send is yours.
- Following the rules that apply to your licence and brokerage, including those of your regulator, your real estate board and FINTRAC.
- The content of the emails, documents and listings you create or send with Keyvera.
Dates, deadlines and AI
Keyvera calculates key dates, builds task lists and sends reminders from the information you enter. It is a tool to help you stay on top of a deal, not a substitute for reading the contract. Always check subject removal, completion, possession and other deadlines against the signed documents. AI features, such as reading a contract or drafting an email, can make mistakes, so review what they produce before you rely on it or send it. Keyvera does not give legal, tax or financial advice.
Acceptable use
When you use Keyvera, please don't:
- Send spam, or email or text people who haven't consented to hear from you.
- Upload anything unlawful, or anything you don't have the right to share.
- Try to get into other people's accounts or data, or test, probe or overload our systems.
- Copy, resell, scrape or reverse engineer Keyvera, or use it to build a competing product.
If you break these terms, we may suspend or close your account. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you first and give you time to export your data.
Connected services
Keyvera works with services you choose to connect, such as Google, Microsoft, Dropbox and Stripe. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We aren't responsible for their outages or changes, although we will work to keep Keyvera's connections to them running.
Changes to Keyvera
We are always improving Keyvera, so features will change over time. We aim to keep the service available and reliable, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted, for example during maintenance or an outage at one of our providers.
Our liability
Keyvera is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost commissions, lost deals, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be limited by contract.
You agree to cover our reasonable losses if a claim is made against us because of the information you put into Keyvera, the messages you send with it, or your breach of these terms.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Keyvera and cancel at any time. We can end these terms with 30 days' notice, or sooner if you seriously break them. The sections on your data, your responsibilities, our liability and governing law continue after the agreement ends.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of British Columbia.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top. For changes that matter, we will email you at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using Keyvera after that, the new terms apply.
